MAX RB-442T TwinTier Cordless Rebar Tying Tool, 14.4 V, Tool Only with Case (Japan Model)

The MAX TwinTier RB-442T is the Japanese-market cordless rebar tier, released in Japan in December 2023. This listing is the tool with carrying case only. The battery and charger are not included. Jobsite problems it solves

• Hand tying is slow. MAX rates the RB-442T at 0.5 seconds per tie (D10×D10, full charge). MAX says this is 1.4 times faster than its previous TwinTier, the RB-440T.
• Ties work loose on walls and columns. A pull-back mechanism forms a wire loop and pulls it back, drawing the bars tightly together. MAX says this also matches the wire used to the bar size, so less wire is wasted.
• Thin concrete cover. The cut wire ends are folded over, so the tie stands only about 12 mm high and no wire ends stick out underneath (per MAX; not for welded wire mesh). MAX names low-cover work and precast plants as uses.
• Reel changes stop the crew. Press the wire-loading assist button on the back and load the wire without pressing the release button.
• Finger fatigue over a long day. MAX shortened the trigger stroke to reduce strain on the finger.

• Rebar: D10×D10 up to D22×D22, D25×D19, D25×D13×D13, D16×D16×D13×D13 (Japanese D sizes), and 2.6–8 mm welded wire mesh.
