Genuine HIOKI 3288 AC/DC Clamp Meter, made in Japan. Sold new and shipped from Japan.

A slim clamp meter that measures both AC and DC current up to 1000 A through a 35 mm jaw, for automotive, solar, battery and DC drive circuits as well as AC work. It also measures AC/DC voltage up to 600 V, resistance and continuity.

Is the 3288 the right one?

Average rectifying (MEAN): accurate on sine-wave AC. For distorted AC (inverters, LED and switching loads), the HIOKI 3288-20 is the True RMS version of the same meter.
AC current only? The lighter HIOKI 3280-10F (100 g) or the True RMS CM3289 may be enough.
